Ableton Live is a great peice of software… it’s a lot different to any other DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software with standout features that really will appeal to the musician and performer aswell as the producer. There are many extras that you can buy to expand the software too in the way of ‘packs’ and various ‘instruments’ and Max for Live extends the software even further, giving access to a whole digital universe of programmable add-ons!
It sits somewhere inbetween the likes of the Boss Loopstation and a traditional DAW like Cubase, filling the need for the ability to ‘jam’ ideas down and perform masterpieces in realtime.
